an unexpectedly short trip

So, long story short, akhirnya Selasa, 3 Agt kemarin, saya & Jipho berangkat dengan penerbangan pukul 7 pagi ke Singapura.

The flight itself, Batavia Air, was more than I expected. For 260k, compared to Lion's 300s, a cup of water, a box of two delicious cakes, a cup of coffee/tea; it was a surprise, a nice one, for sure! :)
My uncle is hospitalized in Changi General Hospital, Simei 2, just 10 or 15 mins from Changi Airport.
We arrived during the operation time. Oh, and the hospital, sumpeeeehh ribet banget!!!
You have to register at first, you have to mention the ward and the bed, then you must go to the particular lobby where the ward is located, change the letter they give you with a pass in that lobby post, then you're good to go up. And then, if you want to have some meal down there, you must return the pass. They will give you a note if you wish to return. And if the patient changes ward (like my uncle did, thrice), you must repeat the process from the very first step.
But the nurses were very kind-hearted and some were pretty ;)
First night we spent at the ICU lounge. We just slept on the chairs like some refugees.
My aunt & my cousin must be sleeping with heavy hearts as that day we learned that the cancer cannot be removed.
The other day, my uncle was transferred to a regular room, back to his old room. Then a nurse approached and told me that they would move him to a bigger room, seeing four of us were snuggling around in a pretty small room. Excellent service, may I say.
That night, me and Jipho moved to a hotel, named Amber Hotel, in Katong Road. They charge 110 SGD per nite, and I must say, it is overrated. Last year I stayed in Golden Landmark Hotel (the rates I was informed from the Internet is not less than 150 SGD), it was a real hotel, if you know what I mean. And this Amber Hotel is more like an apartment!
Upon calculating the bit pricey place and the fact that my aunt paid them all, my parents decided to send me back to Jakarta, ASAP.
My sister found a ticket for the next day, and so that was the shortest trip in Singapore I have ever been.
My flight - Batavia again, thankfully - was on 1650. I took pleasure in going to Changi Airport much earlier and enjoyed every single minute of my journey.
It seemed that God has set up all the timing, it was just perfect. From the first day to the last day, I was never in rush, never been late, never been too soon. Just in time.
I met my fellow-passenger from the Jakarta-Sin flight, he was unique, even the stewardess couldn't help not staring at him, if you know what I mean.
I took the most expensive cab ever to my house. Firstly, I wanted to ride on a Damri. But seeing the long q, and thinking that my bee would wait, I decided to rent a cab. SilverBird's stall was empty, and the Gamya guy dragged me to his.
I paid 180k IDR for a private-cab. Black New Altis, with black plate. Not bad, huh?
Well, anyhow, anyway, I enjoyed this trip. Though not for a fun one...
See you again, Singapore!!
